1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the KinKeep mobile application (“KinKeep,” the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), developed and published by Akash Sarker. KinKeep is a private personal relationship manager and personal CRM designed to help users organize contacts, remember important details and dates, log interactions, plan gifts, and reconnect with people.
This Policy does not govern third-party websites, apps, stores, cloud storage providers, messaging services, or AI services that may be accessed through or used with KinKeep. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
2. Information handled by KinKeep
KinKeep may handle information that you voluntarily enter, create, import, attach, or select while using the App. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Names, nicknames, relationship categories, and contact labels.
- Birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, and reminder dates.
- Private notes, interests, preferences, family details, and conversation context.
- Interaction records, such as calls, meetings, messages, dates, and notes.
- Photos or images that you choose to attach to a contact or interaction.
- Gift ideas, gift plans, and related notes.
- Reminder settings and relationship-management preferences.
- Selected information submitted when you request an AI-generated gift idea or conversation suggestion.

3. Local device storage
KinKeep's core data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a developer-controlled cloud database that stores your KinKeep contacts, notes, interaction history, photos, memories, or gift plans.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it within the App, clear the App's storage, restore or reset the device, or uninstall KinKeep. Your device's operating system, backup configuration, or other installed services may independently affect how local data is backed up or retained.
4. AI-powered features
KinKeep includes optional AI-powered features, such as gift suggestions and conversation starters. These features require information to be transmitted from your device to a third-party AI service provider.
When you choose to use an AI feature, KinKeep sends only the selected information reasonably needed to generate the requested output. Depending on the request and information you have saved, this may include:
- The type of relationship or contact category.
- Interests, preferences, hobbies, or occasion details.
- Relevant dates, such as a birthday or anniversary.
- Selected notes or recent interaction context.
- The text of your AI request or instructions.
The AI provider processes this information to generate and return the requested suggestion. We do not intentionally store a separate copy of the submitted AI request or generated response on developer-controlled servers. The generated result may be saved locally in KinKeep when you choose to save it.
AI features are optional. You can use KinKeep's core relationship-management functions without submitting information to the AI service.
5. How information is used
Information handled through KinKeep is used to:
- Display and organize the people and relationship details you save.
- Create reminders for reconnecting, birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones.
- Build private interaction and memory timelines.
- Calculate or display relationship-related insights based on your local activity.
- Generate AI-assisted gift ideas and conversation starters at your request.
- Create, import, export, restore, or manage user-controlled backups.
- Process purchases and verify access to paid functionality.
- Protect the App, investigate technical problems, and comply with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your relationship data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, or building advertising profiles.
7. Backups, exports, and third-party storage
KinKeep may allow you to create an encrypted backup or export information to a location you select, including device storage or a personal cloud or drive provider. Such transfers are initiated and controlled by you.
We do not receive or control your personal cloud-storage credentials. After information is exported, its handling is governed by your choices and by the privacy and security practices of the destination service.
Keep any backup password or encryption key secure. We may be unable to recover an encrypted backup if you lose the password or key.
8. Device permissions
KinKeep may request device permissions only when needed for a feature you choose to use. Depending on your device and App version, these may include:
- Notifications: to deliver reminders and important-date alerts.
- Photos or media: to attach an image you select or save an exported file.
- Files or storage: to create, import, export, or restore a backup.
- Internet access: to process an AI request, verify a purchase, or access a user-requested online service.
You can manage permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working, but other features may remain available.
9. In-app purchases
Paid features or subscriptions may be offered through Google Play Billing. Google processes the financial transaction under its own privacy policy and terms. KinKeep does not receive your complete payment-card number or banking credentials from Google Play.
KinKeep may receive limited purchase-status information needed to confirm whether a purchase was completed and whether paid functionality should be enabled.
10. Data retention and deletion
Data stored on your device
Locally stored KinKeep data is retained until you delete individual records, use an available in-app deletion or reset option, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
AI request information
We do not intentionally retain AI request information on developer-controlled servers. The third-party AI service provider may retain information for a limited period for security, abuse prevention, service operation, or other purposes described in its own privacy terms.
Backups and exports
Deleting data from KinKeep does not automatically delete copies that you previously exported or backed up. You must delete those copies from the destination device, drive, or cloud service.
11. Security
KinKeep uses technical safeguards intended to protect locally stored information, including encrypted local storage where supported by the current App version. Network communication with the AI provider and platform services is sent through encrypted connections.
No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, device passcode, backup files, passwords, and encryption keys. Avoid submitting information to AI features that you would not want processed by an external service.
12. International processing
The third-party AI service provider and platform providers may process information on servers located outside your country. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. By choosing to use an AI-powered feature, you direct KinKeep to transmit the selected information necessary to provide that feature.
13. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.
KinKeep gives you direct control over most information because it is stored on your device. You can:
- Review and edit saved relationship information in the App.
- Delete contacts, interactions, notes, photos, reminders, and gift plans.
- Decline to use AI-powered features.
- Remove device permissions through Android settings.
- Delete local App data by clearing storage or uninstalling KinKeep.
- Delete exported backups from the storage destination you selected.
Because KinKeep does not use user accounts or maintain a server-side database of core App content, we may be unable to locate or retrieve locally stored records on your behalf. For privacy questions or requests relating to developer-controlled information, contact us using the details below.
14. Children's privacy
KinKeep is not specifically directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law for independent consent to data processing. We do not knowingly operate a server-side service intended to collect personal information from children.
Parents and guardians should supervise a child's use of the App and should not allow children to submit personal or sensitive information through AI-powered features.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to KinKeep, third-party services, legal requirements, or data-handling practices. The updated policy will display a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its store listing where appropriate.
Your continued use of KinKeep after an updated policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to your subsequent use of the App, subject to any consent requirements under applicable law.
